HelloPharmacist Scorecard of 100% Pure Tribulus 500 Milligrams by NutraBio
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: tribulus terrestris, a plant extract traditionally used for sexual function and athletic performance. The capsule itself is made from vegetable material.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for tribulus is mixed. For sexual dysfunction, the data suggests it's possibly effective — there's some clinical support, though the strength of evidence isn't rock-solid.
For athletic performance, the evidence points the other way: possibly ineffective. For benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate), we don't have enough reliable evidence to say whether it works or not.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Tribulus is generally well tolerated in the short term for healthy adults, but quality data and long-term safety information are limited. Side effects are usually mild — some people report stomach pain, cramping, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation, though in one study these occurred at similar rates in both tribulus and placebo groups.
Rare serious effects including liver and kidney injury and seizures have been reported. During pregnancy, the safety data advises against it because tribulus may affect hormones.
While breastfeeding, there isn't enough reliable safety information, so it should be avoided.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check your exact medications against these types: blood pressure medications (antihypertensive drugs), diabetes medications (antidiabetes drugs), and lithium. All three carry Moderate-severity interactions with tribulus.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Tribulus might interest someone looking into sexual function support, though the evidence is modest. If you take blood pressure medication, diabetes medication, or lithium, you need to check with your pharmacist before starting — the interactions could be significant.

100% Pure Tribulus 500 Milligrams by NutraBio Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
NutraBio's 100% Pure Tribulus contains one active ingredient, tribulus terrestris, which does interact with several medication types.
The most serious concern is with blood pressure medications (antihypertensive drugs). Tribulus can lower blood pressure on its own, and combining it with your blood pressure medication might drop your pressure too far (low blood pressure/hypotension).
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
You'll also want to check if you take diabetes medications. Tribulus may lower blood sugar, so pairing it with antidiabetes drugs raises the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
Additionally, if you take lithium for mood disorders, tribulus might interfere — it may have diuretic properties that reduce how your body clears lithium, causing levels to build up. Your lithium dose might need adjusting.
Altogether, these interactions span 256 individual medications. Use the interaction checker below with your exact prescriptions before you start.
