AminO.D. contains 7 ingredients: a blend of branched-chain amino acids (L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-valine), plus three other essential amino acids (L-phenylalanine, L-histidine, and L-threonine), and an amino acid called L-lysine. These are building blocks your body uses for muscle and tissue repair.
The product also includes two proprietary blends called AminOD EAA Repletion Matrix and AminoBlast, whose exact compositions aren't broken out on the label. The inactive ingredients are malic acid, natural and artificial flavor, sucralose, and silica — these are fillers and sweeteners that don't contribute to the amino acid content.

The evidence for these individual amino acids varies. L-phenylalanine is possibly effective for vitiligo (a skin condition) but appears possibly ineffective for ADHD.
L-histidine shows possibly effective evidence for cholera, though data on other conditions like eczema or rheumatoid arthritis is insufficient. L-lysine is possibly effective for cold sores.
For the others — L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine, and L-threonine — the data we hold doesn't establish effectiveness for specific conditions in this supplement context.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
L-phenylalanine is generally well tolerated at typical doses, though some people report anxiety, constipation, headache, heartburn, insomnia, nausea, or sedation. It's important to avoid supplement doses if you have PKU (phenylketonuria), a genetic disorder.
The safety data advises against supplement doses during pregnancy and breastfeeding. L-histidine safety at higher supplement doses isn't well established; stick to food sources unless your doctor advises otherwise.
L-threonine and L-lysine may cause minor gastrointestinal upset — headache, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort have been reported — and their safety in pregnancy and breastfeeding hasn't been well studied, so talk with your doctor first if you're pregnant or nursing. One rare case linked high-dose lysine to kidney problems, though this is not common.

L-threonine carries a major interaction with NMDA antagonists (medications like memantine for Alzheimer's disease). Threonine raises glycine levels in the brain, and glycine enhances how these receptors work, potentially reducing the drug's effect.
L-lysine has a minor documented interaction with 5-HT4 agonists, a group of gut-motility drugs — animal data suggests lysine may blunt their effect.
