What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product has 2 active ingredients: sodium and cannabidiol (CBD). Sodium is an electrolyte your body needs in small amounts to regulate fluid balance and nerve function.
CBD is a compound from cannabis. The gummies also contain inactive ingredients — cane sugar, tapioca syrup, grape juice concentrate, pectin, citric acid, ascorbic acid, black carrot juice concentrate, turmeric, annatto, and natural flavors — which give the product its texture, taste, and color.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Sodium's effectiveness has been studied mainly for serious medical conditions. It's rated likely effective for cystic fibrosis and possibly effective for amphotericin B nephrotoxicity (kidney damage from a certain antifungal drug).
For bipolar disorder and congestive heart failure, the evidence we hold is insufficient to rate it. We have no effectiveness data on file for cannabidiol in this product's form or dose.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Sodium is generally well tolerated when you consume it in normal dietary amounts up to the recommended daily limit of 2.3 grams. The safety notes advise that while sodium is essential in small amounts, too much is linked to high blood pressure and heart strain.
Rare serious adverse effects with excess intake include worsened cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and kidney disease. For pregnancy and lactation, the data shows sodium is likely safe, though one rating notes it's possibly unsafe — talk with your doctor or pharmacist about your individual situation.
We hold no pregnancy or breastfeeding data for cannabidiol.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this product, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you use lithium (Moderate severity — sodium changes can shift lithium levels and toxicity risk), blood pressure medications, corticosteroids, didanosine, sodium phosphates, tolvaptan, or any other sodium-containing drugs (all Moderate). The sodium in these gummies can interfere with how those medications work or raise your sodium to unsafe levels.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with strong clinical evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product may be worth considering if you're looking into cannabidiol, but the sodium content is the main thing to watch — especially if you take lithium, blood pressure medications, corticosteroids, or any other sodium-sensitive drugs. Keep your sodium intake steady and talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting, to make sure it fits your medications and health.
If you're pregnant, nursing, or have heart, kidney, or blood pressure concerns, check with them first.

CBD Gummies 10 mg Mixed Fruit by Upstate Elevator Supply Co Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Upstate Elevator Supply Co's CBD Gummies 10 mg contain sodium, which does interact with a number of medications.
The most serious concern is lithium (used for bipolar disorder): changes in your sodium intake can shift how much lithium stays in your blood, raising the risk of toxicity or loss of effect. You'll want to keep your sodium intake steady if you take lithium, and talk with your doctor or pharmacist before adding this product.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Sodium can also reduce how well blood pressure medications work (Moderate severity), and it may raise the risk of dangerously high sodium levels (hypernatremia) if you take corticosteroids, didanosine, sodium phosphates, tolvaptan, or other sodium-containing drugs (all Moderate). Altogether, these interactions span 205 individual medications.
The product also contains cannabidiol (CBD), but we hold no interaction data for that ingredient — we couldn't check it. For your exact medications, use the search tool on this page to see whether any of them overlap with the sodium interactions listed above.

For each ingredient in CBD Gummies 10 mg Mixed Fruit with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Sodium
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, a high intake of dietary sodium might reduce the effectiveness of antihypertensive drugs.
High intake of dietary sodium can increase systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Also, high intake of sodium may necessitate increased use of antihypertensive medications to achieve blood pressure control in some patients, such as those with chronic kidney disease.
Corticosteroids
Concomitant use of mineralocorticoids and some glucocorticoids with sodium supplements might increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Mineralocorticoids and some glucocorticoids (corticosteroids) cause sodium retention. This effect is dose-related and depends on mineralocorticoid potency. It is most common with hydrocortisone, cortisone, and fludrocortisone, followed by prednisone and prednisolone.
Didanosine (Videx)
Concomitant use of didanosine with additional sodium from dietary or supplemental sources may increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Didanosine formulations contain a significant amount of sodium.
Lithium
Altering dietary intake of sodium might alter the levels and clinical effects of lithium.
High sodium intake can reduce plasma concentrations of lithium by increasing lithium excretion. Reducing sodium intake can significantly increase plasma concentrations of lithium and cause lithium toxicity in patients being treated with lithium carbonate. Stabilizing sodium intake is shown to reduce the percentage of patients with lithium level fluctuations above 0.8 mEq/L. Patients taking lithium should avoid significant alterations in their dietary intake of sodium.
Sodium Phosphates
Theoretically, concomitant use of sodium phosphate with sodium supplements might increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Use of high doses (> 45 mL in 24 hours) of sodium phosphate, such as those used for bowel cleansing before surgery, can lead to serious electrolyte disturbances, including hypernatremia. The risk of hypernatremia is highest in the elderly and people with other risk factors for electrolyte disturbances.
Sodium-Containing Drugs
Concomitant use of sodium-containing drugs with additional sodium from dietary or supplemental sources may increase the risk of hypernatremia and long-term sodium-related complications.
The Chronic Disease Risk Reduction (CDRR) intake level of 2.3 grams of sodium daily indicates the intake at which it is believed that chronic disease risk increases for the apparently healthy population. Some medications contain high quantities of sodium. When used in conjunction with sodium supplements or high-sodium diets, the CDRR may be exceeded. Additionally, concomitant use may increase the risk for hypernatremia; this risk is highest in the elderly and people with other risk factors for electrolyte disturbances.
Tolvaptan (Samsca)
Theoretically, concomitant use of tolvaptan with sodium might increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Tolvaptan is a vasopressin receptor 2 antagonist that is used to increase sodium levels in patients with hyponatremia. Patients taking tolvaptan should use caution with the use of sodium salts such as sodium chloride.
