Celebrate Balance Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Celebrate
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Celebrate Balance against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Celebrate Balance by Celebrate
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Celebrate Balance contains 6 active ingredients: inulin (a soluble fiber from plants that feeds your gut bacteria), Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, Bifidobacterium longum BB536, two strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus (LA-14 and NCFM), and Lactobacillus gasseri LG08. Together, these are a blend of prebiotics and probiotics meant to support digestive and immune balance.
The inactive ingredients are hypromellose (a capsule component), stearic acid, and silica.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The probiotics in Celebrate Balance have mixed evidence. Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
Inulin is possibly effective for obesity, constipation, and diabetes. Evidence for Bifidobacterium longum and Lactobacillus gasseri across their studied uses is currently insufficient to establish their benefit.
We hold no effectiveness data for Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Inulin is generally well tolerated in food amounts but often causes gas, bloating, flatulence, and digestive cramps—especially at higher doses. The probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children, though rare cases of infection from the bacteria themselves have been reported in people who are critically ill or immune-compromised.
If you're seriously ill or have a weakened immune system, check with your doctor before using this product. Inulin is likely safe in pregnancy and lactation.
Data for Bifidobacterium longum in pregnancy and lactation is limited (possibly safe); safety information for Lactobacillus gasseri in pregnancy and lactation is not on file. Lactobacillus acidophilus pregnancy and lactation safety data are not on file either.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your pharmacist if you take antibiotic drugs—the probiotics in this product may work best if you space the doses apart from your antibiotics. Also double-check if you're on diabetes medications, since inulin theoretically could increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
No other medication interactions are documented for the ingredients we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Celebrate Balance is a multi-strain probiotic with inulin for people interested in digestive and immune support, especially those dealing with IBS, antibiotic-related diarrhea, or constipation. If you take antibiotics or diabetes medications, check with your pharmacist first—timing matters with antibiotics, and your doctor should monitor blood sugar if you're on diabetes drugs.
Don't use it if you're critically ill or have a severely weakened immune system without medical guidance.

Celebrate Balance by Celebrate Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Celebrate Balance contains six ingredients, five of which are probiotics (live beneficial bacteria) and inulin, a prebiotic fiber.
The most serious documented interaction involves antibiotic drugs. Four of the probiotic strains—Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus (both LA-14 and NCFM), and Lactobacillus gasseri—may have reduced effectiveness if you take antibiotics at the same time, since antibiotics can kill the live organisms in the product.
The recommendation is to separate doses; ask your pharmacist or doctor about the timing.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Inulin carries a minor theoretical risk with antidiabetes drugs (blood sugar medications). Some research suggests inulin may improve blood sugar control, but it's unclear if it could lower blood sugar too much when combined with diabetes medications.
If you take any diabetes drug, mention this product to your pharmacist.
Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG is one ingredient we could not check for interactions. Altogether, these interactions span 267 individual medications.
Run your exact prescriptions through the search tool on this page to see if any are affected.

Probiotic Blend
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
Inulin
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, inulin might increase the risk of hypoglycemia with antidiabetes drugs.
Some clinical research shows that inulin improves glycemic control in patients with diabetes; however, it is unclear if it has hypoglycemic effects.
