Daily Care Probiotic Complex Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Daily Care Probiotic Complex against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This product contains 10 active ingredients — a blend of beneficial bacteria (probiotics) meant to support your gut. The ones we can identify include several Lactobacillus strains (L. casei, L. salivarius, L. bulgaricus, L. acidophilus, L. paracasei, L. brevis, and L. plantarum) plus Bifidobacterium lactis.
The blend is held in a capsule with cellulose, maltodextrin, magnesium stearate, and silica as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Lactobacillus acidophilus — the one strain we have evidence for — is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis. It's rated possibly ineffective for atopic disease (allergic conditions).
For acute respiratory distress syndrome, there isn't enough reliable evidence to rate it. We don't have effectiveness data on file for the other strains in this blend.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Lactobacillus acidophilus is generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. Minor gastrointestinal side effects — epigastric discomfort, abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence, diarrhea — can occur when you take it with other probiotics, though these events are uncommon.
There's a theoretical risk that live probiotic bacteria could cause infection in people with severely weakened immune systems or certain medical conditions; talk with your doctor before starting if you have serious health concerns. We don't have pregnancy or breastfeeding safety data for any ingredient in this product on file, so ask your doctor or pharmacist if you're pregnant, nursing, or planning either.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your antibiotic medications before taking this — Lactobacillus acidophilus can be less effective if you take antibiotics at the same time. We couldn't check the other bacterial strains in the blend, so use the medication search tool with your full drug list to be safe.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This probiotic blend may help if you're dealing with IBS, antibiotic-related diarrhea, or certain infections — the evidence is modest but real for Lactobacillus acidophilus. If you take antibiotics, space them apart from this product.
Check your exact medications with the tool on this page before you start, and talk to your pharmacist if you have a weakened immune system or serious health condition.

Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
