Fat Metabolizer contains five active ingredients. Inositol and choline are compounds that support various metabolic and cellular functions.
Methionine is an amino acid, while glutamic acid is another amino acid involved in protein metabolism. Betaine is a compound derived from choline that plays a role in cellular metabolism.
The tablet also contains inactive ingredients — calcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose, and a clear aqueous coating — which are fillers and binders that hold the tablet together.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for this product's individual ingredients is mixed. Inositol shows possibly effective evidence for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and metabolic syndrome, but it appears possibly ineffective for anxiety, diabetic nerve damage (neuropathy), and depression.
Choline's effectiveness is mostly unproven — the data we hold rates it as insufficient evidence for age-related cognitive decline, Alzheimer disease, hay fever, and other conditions, and possibly ineffective for athletic performance. Methionine shows possibly effective evidence only for neural tube birth defects; evidence for other uses is insufficient.

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Inositol is generally well tolerated, with the most common side effects being mild digestive issues — diarrhea, gas, and nausea. When combined with omega-3 fatty acids in research, some children reported cold and allergy symptoms.
Inositol is possibly safe in pregnancy but should be used only under medical supervision, and there isn't enough data to know it's safe outside that setting. Choline is well tolerated at normal food amounts but can cause side effects at high doses (above 3.5 grams daily), including a fishy body odor, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting; it is likely safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding when used as advised by your healthcare provider.
Methionine is well tolerated at food amounts; at high supplement doses, it may cause dizziness, drowsiness, headache, and vomiting. Supplement doses of methionine in pregnancy and breastfeeding haven't been proven safe — normal dietary amounts are fine.

Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking inositol with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Clinical research shows that inositol lowers blood glucose levels and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels in patients with diabetes.
Choline
Atropine
Theoretically, choline might decrease the effects of atropine in the brain.
Animal research shows that administering choline one hour before administering atropine can attenuate atropine-induced decreases in brain levels of acetylcholine. Theoretically, concomitant use of choline and atropine may decrease the effects of atropine.
