Glutamean Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Chaotic-Labz
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Glutamean against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Glutamean by Chaotic-Labz
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Glutamean is a powder with 4 active ingredients: L-Glutamine, Glutamine Alpha-Keto-Glutarate, and two others (Trans-Alanyl-Glutamine and L-Alanyl-Glutamine) that make up a proprietary blend. All four are forms or sources of glutamine, an amino acid your body uses for muscle recovery, immune function, and gut health.
The product also contains inactive ingredients—stearic acid and silica—which are used as a binder and flow agent.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
L-Glutamine and Glutamine Alpha-Keto-Glutarate are rated effective for sickle cell disease. Both are rated possibly effective for HIV/AIDS-related wasting, recovery after surgery, and critical illness from trauma.
The two other glutamine forms in the blend haven't been evaluated in our data, so we can't speak to their effectiveness.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Both glutamine forms are generally well tolerated in healthy adults. The most common side effects are digestive—belching, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain.
High doses (10–30 grams daily) are more likely to cause these. Dizziness and headache have been reported in a small number of cases; one resolved when the dose was cut in half.
Two people with bipolar disorder reported mania or hypomania while taking glutamine supplements, so if you have bipolar disorder, talk to your doctor first. If you have kidney or liver disease, use this product only under medical supervision.
We don't have enough safety data for supplemental doses in pregnancy, so talk with your doctor before taking it while pregnant. There isn't enough data to recommend it while breastfeeding unless your clinician advises it.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Glutamean if you use anticonvulsant medications (drugs to prevent seizures). The glutamine in this product might theoretically reduce their effectiveness, though this hasn't been reported in humans yet.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with strong clinical evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Glutamean is designed to support muscle recovery and gut health through glutamine. If you take anticonvulsant medications, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting it—the interaction is theoretical but worth confirming for your situation.
Digestive upset is common, especially at higher doses. Talk it over with your own healthcare provider to see if it fits your needs.

Glutamean by Chaotic-Labz Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Glutamean by Chaotic-Labz contains glutamine in two forms—L-Glutamine and Glutamine Alpha-Keto-Glutarate—and both carry a moderate theoretical interaction with anticonvulsant medications (drugs used to prevent seizures).
Glutamine is broken down in your body into glutamate, an excitatory neurotransmitter that might work against anticonvulsants; however, this interaction hasn't been documented in humans yet. Altogether, these interactions span 50 individual medications.
