ImmuBlast contains 2 active ingredients. Lactobacillus fermentum extract is a beneficial bacterial culture believed to support immune function.
Beta-1,3-Glucan is a naturally occurring polysaccharide derived from yeast and mushrooms, also studied for immune and heart health benefits. The capsules also contain inactive ingredients — gelatin, rice flour, and ascorbyl palmitate — which serve as the capsule shell and preservative.

Not established
Beta-1,3-Glucan in this product is rated Likely Effective for dyslipidemia (high cholesterol) and coronary heart disease. Research supports its use for these cardiovascular concerns.

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Beta-1,3-Glucan from food sources is generally well tolerated. However, concentrated supplements in higher doses lack the long-term safety testing that whole foods have had, so caution is warranted.
In clinical trials, oral beta-glucans have been well tolerated overall; one child in a high-dose trial (120 mg/kg daily) showed temporary liver enzyme elevations that resolved on their own. Topically applied beta-glucans have occasionally caused mild, self-limiting skin reactions.
Regarding pregnancy and breastfeeding, we have no pregnancy data on file for the ingredients in this product. There is little research on concentrated supplement doses during breastfeeding, so caution is advised.
