What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Lion's Mane mushroom, concentrated to a 20:1 extract. That means the raw mushroom material has been reduced down to deliver more of the compounds it naturally contains in a smaller dose.
There are no inactive ingredients listed for this powder.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence we hold on lion's mane doesn't support its use for any specific condition yet. Effectiveness ratings for Alzheimer disease, anxiety, athletic performance, cancer, cognitive function, and cognitive impairment all show insufficient reliable evidence to rate.
That doesn't mean it doesn't work — it means the studies so far haven't been rigorous enough to say one way or the other.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
Orally, lion's mane is generally well tolerated when eaten as a food, though supplement safety hasn't been studied well over the long term. The most common side effects reported are gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and skin rash.
The safety data advises against using it during pregnancy or while breastfeeding because there isn't enough information to know it's safe in those situations.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this, double-check your medications against the search tool on this page if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (Moderate risk of bleeding), diabetes medications (Moderate risk of low blood sugar), or immunosuppressants (Moderate risk of interference with immune suppression).
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and some safety-information gaps remain.
Lion's mane is a reasonable choice if you're curious about cognitive support and tolerate it well, but the evidence for it working isn't solid yet. If you take blood thinners, diabetes drugs, or immunosuppressants, you'll need to check with your own doctor or pharmacist before adding this — the interactions are real concerns.
Talk it over with them to see if it fits your situation.

Lion's Mane monograph & interactionsLion's Mane 20:1 Concentrated Extract by Samsara Herbs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Lion's Mane 20:1 Concentrated Extract by Samsara Herbs does interact with medications, primarily through its potential effects on bleeding, blood sugar, and immune function.
The most serious concern is a Moderate risk of increased bleeding when combined with blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (such as warfarin or aspirin), because lab research suggests lion's mane can slow how platelets clump together.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
You'll also want to be careful if you take diabetes medications. Lion's mane may lower blood sugar on its own, so using it alongside drugs that do the same could push your levels too low.
Additionally, if you take immunosuppressants (drugs that deliberately weaken your immune system, often after organ transplant or for autoimmune conditions), lion's mane might work against them — animal research shows it can stimulate immune activity.
Altogether, these interactions span 327 individual medications. Before you start this supplement, run your exact medications through the interaction checker on this page.
