Oseni combines two diabetes medicines, alogliptin and pioglitazone, that work together to lower your blood sugar. The thinking here is pretty simple: lion's mane may also nudge blood sugar down on its own, based mostly on animal studies. If you stack that gentle effect on top of your medication, your numbers could theoretically dip a bit lower than expected.

To be clear, this is a theoretical concern, not something proven in people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, it's worth keeping an eye out for signs of low blood sugar like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling unusually hungry or foggy. If you'd like to try lion's mane, check your sugars a little more closely at first and chat with your pharmacist or doctor.
