What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: maqui berry extract in dry form. Maqui is a South American berry used in traditional medicine and studied for its antioxidant properties.
The inactive ingredients are glycerin and water, which help deliver the extract in liquid form.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for what maqui berry does is limited. For dry eyes, impaired glucose tolerance (prediabetes), and psychological well-being, we have insufficient reliable evidence to rate how well it works.
That doesn't mean it doesn't work — it means the studies we have aren't strong enough to say either way.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
Maqui berry in food amounts is likely safe, but we don't have solid data on safety when taken as a supplement in concentrated doses like this one. The data on file advises caution and suggests that supplement amounts haven't been studied well enough to call them safe.
No adverse effects were reported in the trials we have on record, but that's a limited picture.
Meds to double-check
Minor interactions only
If you take diabetes medication or drugs that lower blood sugar, check your specific medications with the tool on this page — maqui may theoretically increase the risk of low blood sugar, though the risk is Minor.
The bottom line
