Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
NooRacetam 800 is a single-ingredient capsule: piracetam at 800 mg per dose. Piracetam is a nootropic—a substance intended to support brain function.
The capsule also contains microcrystalline cellulose, a common filler.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Piracetam carries a "Possibly Effective" rating for several conditions: tardive dyskinesia (involuntary movement disorder), breath-holding attacks, vertigo, epilepsy, recovery after coronary artery bypass graft surgery, and dyslexia. These ratings mean there's preliminary evidence, but the data isn't conclusive enough to be certain.
It's worth discussing with your doctor whether piracetam is the right choice for your specific situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Piracetam is generally well tolerated when taken by mouth, though it can cause constipation, stomach upset, high blood pressure, rash, or weight gain. Rarer side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, agitation, anxiety, behavioral changes, slurred speech, and sleep problems.
One case also reported unusually heavy menstrual bleeding. Avoid piracetam during pregnancy—there isn't enough safety data.
Also avoid it while breastfeeding, since it may pass into breast milk and safety is unknown. It's important to know that piracetam is a drug, not a true dietary supplement, and it's unapproved in the U.S., so product quality can vary.
Meds to double-check
Major interaction found
Double-check this product before you start if you take any blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs—warfarin, apixaban, dabigatran, aspirin, clopidogrel, ticlopidine, or similar medications. Piracetam can increase bleeding risk with these drugs, and that interaction is rated Major.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Major medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Consider NooRacetam 800 if your doctor recommends piracetam for tardive dyskinesia, vertigo, or another of its indicated uses. If you take any blood thinner or antiplatelet medication, check with your pharmacist first—that's the main safety flag.
Pregnant people and those breastfeeding should not use it. Always run your current medications through the checker before starting.
