This supplement contains one active ingredient: calcium D-pantothenate, a form of pantothenic acid (also called vitamin B5). The inactive ingredients are calcium phosphate, cellulose, vegetable stearate, rice polish, and magnesium stearate—these help form and stabilize the tablet.

How safe is it?

Calcium D-pantothenate is generally well tolerated when you take it at recommended doses. The most common side effects from taking it by mouth are belching, constipation, diarrhea, gas, and stomach upset.
Rare serious concerns from case reports include kidney stones and a skin condition called calciphylaxis. There's also some concern that very high daily doses (over 1500–2000 mg from all sources) might increase prostate cancer risk and possibly cardiovascular risk, though research on this remains mixed and criticized.
During pregnancy, adequate calcium is important; stay within recommended amounts unless your doctor advises otherwise. During breastfeeding, calcium needs can be met with recommended amounts—check with your provider about your individual needs.
