Phosphatidylserine is generally well tolerated, though long-term safety isn't fully studied. Common side effects include flatulence, nausea, headache, insomnia (especially at higher doses around 600 mg), and general stomach upset.

Phosphatidylcholine is also generally well tolerated at normal doses, but high amounts can trigger bloating, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting; common side effects at any dose include altered taste and sweating.
