What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: potassium at 99 mg per tablet. Potassium is an electrolyte your body needs for nerve and muscle function, including heart rhythm.
The remaining ingredients are inactive — fillers and binders like dicalcium phosphate, cellulose, and magnesium stearate that help form and stabilize the tablet.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The product facts we hold do not include an effectiveness rating for potassium supplementation. We cannot tell you from the data here whether this dose is proven to work for any particular condition.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Potassium from food is generally safe, but supplements can accumulate to dangerous levels, especially if you have kidney disease — so this isn't something to take on your own without medical oversight. You may experience mild stomach upset: abdominal pain, belching, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting are the most common side effects.
In rare cases, very high potassium can cause abnormal heartbeat, low blood pressure, or confusion. During pregnancy, dietary potassium is fine, but use supplements only under a doctor's guidance.
The same goes for breastfeeding — check with your doctor before taking a potassium supplement.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on a potassium-sparing diuretic, an ACE inhibitor, or an ARB — all carry a Moderate risk of dangerously high blood potassium. Altogether, these interactions span 62 individual medications.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Potassium supplements are not a casual add-on if you take blood pressure medications or water pills — the risk of dangerous blood potassium levels is real. If you have kidney disease, this is even more important to discuss with your doctor beforehand.
Talk with your own doctor or pharmacist before starting, especially if you're on any cardiac or blood pressure medication.

Potassium Chloride 99 mg by Best Naturals Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Potassium Chloride 99 mg by Best Naturals interacts with several blood pressure and heart medications through its potassium content.
The most serious concern is with potassium-sparing diuretics (water pills that preserve potassium), which carry a Moderate risk of dangerously high blood potassium levels (hyperkalemia) when combined with this supplement.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
ACE inhibitors and ARBs — two major classes of blood pressure drugs — also pose a Moderate interaction risk with potassium supplements. Both drug types reduce how much potassium your kidneys excrete, so adding a potassium supplement can push levels into the danger zone, especially at higher doses of the supplement.
Additionally, the concerning part: high blood potassium can cause irregular heartbeat, heart block, drop in blood pressure, and confusion. If you take any blood pressure medication or a water pill, check your exact drugs with the search tool on this page before starting this supplement.

Potassium
Ace Inhibitors (Aceis)
Using ACEIs with high doses of potassium increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
ACEIs block the actions of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and reduce potassium excretion. Concomitant use of these drugs with potassium supplements increases the risk of hyperkalemia. However, concomitant use of these drugs with moderate dietary potassium intake (about 3775-5200 mg daily) does not increase serum potassium levels.
Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (Arbs)
Using ARBs with high doses of potassium increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
ARBs block the actions of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and reduce potassium excretion. Concomitant use of these drugs with potassium supplements increases the risk of hyperkalemia. However, concomitant use of these drugs with moderate dietary potassium intake (about 3775-5200 mg daily) does not increase serum potassium levels.
Potassium-Sparing Diuretics
Concomitant use increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
Using potassium-sparing diuretics with potassium supplements increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
