What’s inside
Full disclosure
PS100 contains one active ingredient: phosphatidylserine, a natural compound found in cell membranes. It comes as a 100 mg softgel capsule.
The inactive ingredients are medium chain triglyceride, bovine gelatin, glycerin, water, sunflower lecithin, silicon dioxide, mixed tocopherols, and ascorbyl palmitate — these are fillers, capsule materials, and preservatives.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Phosphatidylserine is possibly effective for age-related cognitive decline and Alzheimer disease based on available evidence. For athletic performance, ADHD, general cognitive function, and dementia, the evidence isn't established enough to rate it reliably.
If you're considering this supplement for one of these conditions, talk with your doctor about whether the current evidence supports a trial.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Phosphatidylserine is generally well tolerated, but long-term safety hasn't been fully studied. The most common side effects are flatulence, gastrointestinal upset, headache, insomnia, and nausea — with gastrointestinal effects showing up at doses of 200–300 mg daily and insomnia more likely at higher doses around 600 mg.
There isn't enough safety data to use it during pregnancy or while breastfeeding; the safety notes advise against both.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start PS100, check your prescriptions against anticholinergic drugs (like those for overactive bladder or Parkinson's) and cholinergic drugs (like some glaucoma or myasthenia gravis medications). Both have Moderate interactions with phosphatidylserine.
Use the search tool to verify your exact medications.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
PS100 may be worth considering if you're interested in supporting memory or cognitive function with age-related decline or Alzheimer disease, though the evidence is modest. If you take anticholinergic or cholinergic medications, you'll want to check with your pharmacist first.
Gastrointestinal upset and insomnia are possible, especially at higher doses. Not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

PS100 100 mg by Jarrow Formulas Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
PS100 by Jarrow Formulas contains phosphatidylserine, which has documented interactions with two categories of medications.
The most serious concern involves anticholinergic drugs (Moderate severity) — medications used for conditions like overactive bladder, Parkinson's disease, and certain types of poisoning. Phosphatidylserine is thought to increase acetylcholine levels in your body, which could theoretically decrease how well these drugs work.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Phosphatidylserine also has a Moderate interaction with cholinergic drugs, which work in the opposite way. These include some glaucoma medications and certain drugs for myasthenia gravis.
The supplement may add to their effects, potentially causing too much cholinergic activity.
Although these are theoretical concerns rather than proven problems in real patients, they're worth checking. Altogether, these interactions span 218 individual medications.
Use the medication search tool on this page to verify your exact prescriptions before starting PS100.
