What’s inside
Full disclosure
Target B2 contains 2 active ingredients: potassium and Lactobacillus fermentum. Potassium is a mineral your body needs for heart rhythm, muscle function, and nerve signaling.
Lactobacillus fermentum is a probiotic bacteria. The capsule also holds several inactive ingredients—microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, water, silicon dioxide, and calcium carbonate—which serve as fillers and binders.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
We don't have effectiveness data on file for either ingredient in this product, so I can't tell you what the published evidence says about how well it works.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Potassium from food is fine for most people, but supplements carry real risk. High blood levels can cause nausea, vomiting, belly pain, diarrhea, and—in serious cases—irregular heartbeat, low blood pressure, and mental confusion.
You're at higher risk if you have kidney disease. During pregnancy, dietary potassium is appropriate, but only use supplements under your doctor's guidance.
The same goes for breastfeeding—check with your doctor first.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check this product before taking it with potassium-sparing diuretics, ACE inhibitors, or ARBs—all are Moderate severity interactions with potassium. If you're on any of these, have your pharmacist verify it's safe for your situation.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product is a potassium supplement, so it's worth considering only if your doctor or pharmacist says you need one. If you take any blood pressure or heart medication—especially ACE inhibitors, ARBs, or potassium-sparing diuretics—or if you have kidney problems, you absolutely need to check with your pharmacist before starting.

Target b2 by Klaire Labs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Target B2 by Klaire Labs contains potassium, which interacts with several common blood pressure and heart medications.
The most serious concern is with potassium-sparing diuretics (water pills that hold onto potassium)—combining them with this supplement raises the risk of dangerously high blood potassium levels (hyperkalemia), a Moderate severity interaction.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
ACE inhibitors and ARBs (angiotensin receptor blockers), two major classes of blood pressure medications, also interact at Moderate severity. Both types work by blocking a hormone system that normally helps your body shed potassium, so adding a potassium supplement on top puts you at risk for the same dangerous buildup.
High doses of potassium with these drugs are the real concern.
We couldn't check Lactobacillus fermentum for interactions—no data on file for that ingredient. Altogether, these interactions span 62 individual medications.
Before you start this product, run your exact medications through the checker below, especially anything for blood pressure or heart rhythm.

For each ingredient in Target b2 with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Potassium
Ace Inhibitors (Aceis)
Using ACEIs with high doses of potassium increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
ACEIs block the actions of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and reduce potassium excretion. Concomitant use of these drugs with potassium supplements increases the risk of hyperkalemia. However, concomitant use of these drugs with moderate dietary potassium intake (about 3775-5200 mg daily) does not increase serum potassium levels.
Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (Arbs)
Using ARBs with high doses of potassium increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
ARBs block the actions of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and reduce potassium excretion. Concomitant use of these drugs with potassium supplements increases the risk of hyperkalemia. However, concomitant use of these drugs with moderate dietary potassium intake (about 3775-5200 mg daily) does not increase serum potassium levels.
Potassium-Sparing Diuretics
Concomitant use increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
Using potassium-sparing diuretics with potassium supplements increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
