What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: ubiquinol, a reduced form of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) at 50 mg per softgel. CoQ10 is a compound your body makes naturally and stores in cells, where it plays a role in energy production and acts as an antioxidant.
Ubiquinol is the form your cells use directly, so it's already in the active state your body needs. The softgel also contains several inactive ingredients — D-limonene oil, gelatin, glycerin, water, caprylic acid, caramel, capric acid, and alpha-lipoic acid — which help deliver and preserve the ubiquinol.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
CoQ10 has solid evidence for treating coenzyme Q10 deficiency itself. For other conditions, the evidence is more limited.
It's rated possibly effective for fibromyalgia, migraine headache, congestive heart failure (a weakened heart's reduced pumping ability), and diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage from diabetes). This means some research suggests it may help, but we don't yet have strong enough evidence to call it proven.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
CoQ10 is generally well tolerated when taken as directed. In clinical studies, no serious adverse effects have been reported.
The most common side effects are mild gastrointestinal issues — appetite suppression, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, or vomiting — occurring in fewer than 1 in 100 people. If you take more than 100 mg daily, splitting your dose may help reduce these.
Headache, dizziness, and insomnia have been reported rarely. The product label notes there isn't enough reliable safety data during pregnancy, so it's best to avoid it unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Safety data while breastfeeding hasn't been well studied; use caution and check with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized guidance.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check with your pharmacist if you're on chemotherapy drugs (Moderate interaction risk), warfarin or other blood thinners (Moderate), or blood pressure medications (Minor). These are the medication types where documented interactions exist with CoQ10.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with strong clinical evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
CoQ10 may be worth considering if you have a documented CoQ10 deficiency or want to explore it for migraine, heart failure, or diabetic nerve pain — but the evidence for those conditions is still developing. If you take warfarin, chemotherapy drugs, or blood pressure medications, you must check with your pharmacist before starting.
Pregnant women and those breastfeeding should talk with their doctor first.

CoQH 50 mg by Klaire Labs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Klaire Labs CoQH 50 mg contains ubiquinol (a form of coenzyme Q10), which has documented interactions with three main medication types.
The most serious concern is with chemotherapy drugs called alkylating agents (like cyclophosphamide). CoQ10's antioxidant properties may theoretically reduce how well these cancer drugs work, since many of them kill tumor cells by creating free radicals — a Moderate severity interaction.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Warfarin (Coumadin), a blood thinner (anticoagulant), is also a Moderate concern. CoQ10 is chemically similar to vitamin K and may have blood-clotting effects that work against warfarin.
Four cases of decreased warfarin effectiveness linked to CoQ10 have been reported, though the full effect isn't yet certain.
Blood pressure medications (antihypertensives) carry a Minor interaction risk. Because CoQ10 can lower blood pressure in some research, it may add to the blood-pressure-lowering effect of your medication, potentially making your blood pressure drop too far.
Altogether, these interactions span 198 individual medications. Use the search tool below to check your exact prescriptions before starting.

For each ingredient in CoQH 50 mg with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Ubiquinol
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
