What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Bulgarian Tribulus at 500 mg per capsule. The capsule itself is made from pullulan polysaccharide, and the other inactive ingredients are rice powder, bamboo extract powder, and rice extract blend.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Tribulus is possibly effective for sexual dysfunction — that's the main use supported by clinical evidence. For athletic performance, the evidence suggests it's possibly ineffective.
The safety and evidence data for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH, or enlarged prostate) aren't strong enough to rate either way.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Tribulus is generally well tolerated short-term in healthy adults, but long-term safety data and product quality information are limited. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — abdominal pain, cramping, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation — though in one study these complaints occurred at similar rates in people taking Tribulus and those on placebo.
Rare serious side effects including liver or kidney injury, seizures, and painful erection have been reported. Avoid this product during pregnancy because it may affect hormones and safety isn't established.
Also avoid it while breastfeeding due to lack of reliable safety data.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your blood pressure medications, diabetes medications, and lithium before adding this product. All three interact at Moderate severity, and Tribulus can combine with them to lower your blood pressure or blood sugar, or to raise lithium levels in your body.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Tribulus may help with sexual dysfunction, but you'll want to talk with your pharmacist before starting it if you take blood pressure medication, diabetes medication, or lithium — these combinations need checking. Long-term safety data are sparse, and pregnancy and breastfeeding are off-limits.

Tribulus 500 mg by Ron Teeguarden's Dragon Herbs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Tribulus 500 mg by Ron Teeguarden's Dragon Herbs has documented interactions with three types of medications across 259 individual drugs.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The most serious concern is with blood pressure medications (antihypertensive drugs) — Tribulus can lower blood pressure on its own, and combining it with these medications might push your pressure too low. The ingredient does this partly by blocking an enzyme (ACE) that normally helps regulate blood pressure.
You'll also want to check if you're on diabetes medications or lithium. Tribulus may lower blood sugar, which could combine with your diabetes drug to cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
If you take lithium, Tribulus's diuretic properties might reduce how your body clears lithium, raising its levels in your system — your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
