Clinical
Systane COMPLETE PF is an over-the-counter eye emulsion that contains propylene glycol as its active ingredient. This product is marketed under FDA's monograph rules for ocular lubricants rather than through individual drug approval. Propylene glycol is commonly used in eye drops to help lubricate and relieve dryness and discomfort on the surface of the eye. The emulsion form allows the ingredient to coat and protect the eye while reducing irritation.
