Clinical
Senna-S is an over-the-counter oral tablet containing two active ingredients commonly used together to relieve occasional constipation. Sennosides, a natural laxative derived from the senna plant, stimulates bowel movements, while docusate sodium functions as a stool softener that helps make bowel movements easier. This combination product is an OTC monograph drug, meaning it is manufactured under FDA's established rules for over-the-counter laxatives rather than as an individually approved application.
