Increased ARIPiprazole exposure

Interaction Deep Dive

Reduce the usual ARIPiprazole dose to 50% for patients on CYP2D6 inhibitors and to 25% for patients on dual CYP3A/CYP2D6 inhibitors1. If CYP2D6 inhibitor use exceeds 14 days, reduce ARIPiprazole IM dose 400 mg to 300 mg, 300 mg to 200 mg. With dual CYP3A/CYP2D6 inhibitors use, reduce ARIPiprazole IM dose 400 mg to 200 mg, 300 mg to 160 mg 2. Avoid ARIPiprazole, extended release 2 month injection in patients on both strong CYP3A/CYP2D6 inhibitors for over 14 days. For patients on strong CYP2D6 inhibitors, use 720 mg once every 2 months. No dosage adjustment if CYP2D6 inhibitor is taken for less than 14 days. Increase ARIPiprazole dose after stopping inhibitor 3. If coadministered, reduce Aristada(R) to the next lower strength, no dose change for 441 mg monthly if tolerated 4. Avoid, since Aristada Initio(R) dose cannot be modified 5.
