Quick heads up here: the interaction on file is really about oral aloe latex (the strong laxative part of the plant) bumping into other stimulant laxatives. Armodafinil isn't a laxative at all, it's a wakefulness medicine used for things like narcolepsy and shift work sleep disorder. So this particular interaction was matched by category and doesn't truly apply to armodafinil the way the description suggests.

In plain terms, I wouldn't expect any meaningful problem between aloe and armodafinil. This concern is theoretical and based on how laxatives behave, not on real reports with armodafinil. If you do take aloe latex by mouth, watch for cramping or dehydration on its own, and check with your pharmacist before using it regularly.

What Is Armodafinil Used For?

Brand name: Nuvigil

Armodafinil tablets (including the brand Nuvigil) are used to improve wakefulness in adults who have excessive sleepiness linked to one of three conditions: obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), narcolepsy, or shift work disorder (SWD).

In obstructive sleep apnea, armodafinil treats the sleepiness itself — not the underlying airway obstruction. If CPAP (a breathing device worn during sleep) is the right treatment for you, your doctor should try that first before adding armodafinil for sleepiness.
