Here's the simple version: insulin lispro is the fast-acting insulin you take around meals to bring your blood sugar down. Taking aloe by mouth may also nudge your blood sugar a little lower on its own. Put the two together and the worry is that they could add up, pushing you into low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). That can show up as shakiness, sweating, a fast heartbeat, dizziness, confusion, or feeling suddenly hungry.

I want to be honest about the evidence here, though. This concern comes mostly from lab and early studies, so it's a possible effect, not a sure thing. If you decide to use oral aloe, check your blood sugars more closely and watch for lows, and loop in your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything. Aloe gel used on the skin isn't a concern for this.

What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
