Annovera is your vaginal ring that slowly releases two hormones, segesterone and ethinyl estradiol, to prevent pregnancy. Both hormones are partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The note here is that American elder might block that enzyme a bit, which could let estrogen levels drift up a little. In real life that might mean more of the usual hormone-related complaints like nausea, breast tenderness, headaches, or spotting.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It comes only from lab (test tube) studies, not from people, so it is very theoretical. Normal culinary amounts of cooked elderberry are unlikely to cause trouble. If you take a concentrated elderberry supplement regularly, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on things.
