Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls under CAFFEINE — the group Anise interacts with.

Theoretically, anise oil might decrease the efficacy of caffeine.
Animal research shows that taking anise oil with caffeine decreases the bioavailability of caffeine. Whether this interaction will occur in humans is unclear.

Here's the thing to keep in mind: this combo product (Damason-P) contains aspirin, caffeine, and hydrocodone, but the only piece anise might touch is the caffeine. In animal studies, anise oil lowered how much caffeine the body absorbed, which could in theory make the caffeine portion a little less effective. Caffeine is added mostly to give a small boost to the pain relief, so you might notice slightly less of that extra kick or feel a touch more drowsy.

Honestly though, this is very weak evidence. It comes only from lab and animal work, not people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. A cup of anise tea or seeds in food almost certainly won't matter; concentrated anise oil is the bigger unknown. The aspirin and hydrocodone parts aren't affected here. If you take anise regularly, just mention it to your pharmacist.
