Here's the thing to know about this pairing: your blood pressure pill already has a hydrochlorothiazide (the 'water pill' part) that can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Some people on it notice they sunburn faster or break out in a rash after time outdoors. Arrach comes from the goosefoot plant family, and a few of its relatives have been linked to photosensitivity too, so in theory the two together could stack up and make your skin react to the sun more easily.

I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on plant chemistry, not solid human studies, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, it's smart to wear sunscreen and cover up outside. Since arrach isn't well studied or recommended anyway, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.

What Is Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide Used For?

Brand names: Zestoretic, Prinzide

Lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide tablets — sold as the brand Zestoretic and as the generic combination — are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as stroke and heart attack.

This is a fixed-dose combination product and is not intended as a first-line (initial) treatment for high blood pressure. It is typically prescribed for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on a single medication alone.
