Artichoke + Clomipramine
Clomipramine brand names: Anafranil, Anafranil SR.
Artichoke has a moderate interaction with Clomipramine. Theoretically, artichoke might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Clomipramine
Clomipramine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) SUBSTRATES — the group Artichoke interacts with.
In vitro research shows that artichoke leaf extract inhibits CYP2C19 activity. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for Clomipramine (Anafranil). Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2C19 to help break this medication down. In lab studies, artichoke leaf extract appears to slow that enzyme a bit. If that happened in your body, clomipramine could clear a little more slowly and build up, which might mean more of the usual side effects like drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, dizziness, or a faster heartbeat.
The important part: this is theoretical, based only on test-tube research, and it has never actually been reported in people. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since clomipramine needs steady levels to work well, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding concentrated artichoke supplements.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Clomipramine page
“A tricyclic antidepressant used mostly for OCD, clomipramine (Anafranil) is unforgiving of shifts in its blood level, which is why its 236 supplement interactions deserve genuine wariness. Most of the list involves metabolism: herbs that speed up or slow down the liver enzymes handling clomipramine can drag its level too low or push it…”

Natural Medicines records Clomipramine as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Artichoke — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
