Artichoke Overview
Artichoke (Cynara scolymus) is a perennial plant native to the Mediterranean region that is known for its edible flower buds. Artichokes are a good source of fiber, vitamin C, and other nutrients.
Artichoke has a history of use in traditional medicine, and studies show it may have a mild cholesterol-lowering effect and has also been used for gastrointestinal problems, such as heartburn and constipation.
Although several parts of the artichoke have been used medicinally, for its use in dietary supplements, a standardized leaf extract is often used.
Lofexidine Hydrochloride Overview

Lofexidine is used to manage opioid withdrawal symptoms (e.g., sick feeling, stomach cramps, muscle spasms or twitching, cold sensation, heart pounding, muscle tension, aches and pains, yawning, runny eyes, or difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep) that may occur after an opioid medication is suddenly stopped. Lofexidine is in a class of medications called central alpha adrenergic agonists. It works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily through the body.
