Here's the thing to know about pairing bilberry with iloprost (Ventavis). Iloprost does more than relax your lung blood vessels; it also makes platelets a little less sticky, which gently nudges you toward easier bleeding or bruising. Bilberry's natural plant compounds (anthocyanins) may do something similar in lab studies, so stacking the two could add up and raise your bleeding risk a touch.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is mostly test-tube and animal research, not strong proof in real patients, so it's a theoretical concern rather than a sure thing. A few berries in your diet almost certainly won't matter, while concentrated bilberry capsules are more worth asking about. Watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding gums, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding a bilberry supplement.
