Here's the situation with Dicumarol and black currant. Dicumarol is a blood thinner that lowers your body's ability to form clots. Black currant seed oil contains an omega-6 fatty acid called GLA, which lab and animal studies suggest may make platelets (the cells that help blood clot) a little less sticky.

Put the two together and, at least in theory, you could nudge your bleeding risk a bit higher. That might show up as easier bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding gums. I want to be honest, though: this concern is theoretical, based on how GLA behaves, not on real cases in people. Eating black currant as food is very unlikely to matter. Still, since Dicumarol needs careful balancing, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding a concentrated supplement.
