Insulin (rDNA) falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Black Mulberry interacts with.

Theoretically, black mulberry leaf might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
One small clinical study shows that black mulberry leaf extract has hypoglycemic effects. This is supported by in vitro research which also suggests that constituents in black mulberry twigs and leaves might have hypoglycemic effects.

Here's the thing to keep in mind: black mulberry leaf extract may gently lower blood sugar on its own. Your insulin already does that job powerfully. Stack the two together, and the effects can add up, which means your blood sugar could dip lower than you intend. With insulin, that shows up as hypoglycemia, think shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling lightheaded.

I want to be honest about the strength of this concern. It's mostly theoretical, based on how mulberry behaves in lab studies and one small trial of the leaf extract. Eating mulberry fruit as food is very unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated leaf supplements are the part worth watching. If you want to try one, check with your doctor or pharmacist first and keep an eye on your readings.

What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
