Canagliflozin, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Black Seed interacts with.

Theoretically, taking black seed with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Some clinical research and numerous animal studies suggest that black seed, especially its constituent thymoquinone, can have hypoglycemic effects.

Here's the simple version: Invokamet already lowers your blood sugar by pairing two medicines (canagliflozin makes you flush sugar out in your urine, while metformin helps your body use insulin better). Black seed, mostly through a compound called thymoquinone, seems to nudge blood sugar down on its own too. Stack the two together and your sugar could dip lower than you'd expect.

If that happens, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, irritable, or weak. Honestly, the evidence here is still on the early side (some small human studies and a lot of animal work), so this isn't a guaranteed problem, especially with the small amounts used in cooking. But concentrated supplement doses are a different story. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before starting black seed, and keep an eye on your glucose readings.
