Theoretically, black seed may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that black seed extract can inhibit platelet aggregation and clotting, and increase bleeding time. In addition, decreased platelet counts have occurred in a human case report and in animal research.

Dalteparin (Fragmin) is already a powerful blood thinner, given by injection to keep your blood from clotting too easily. Here's the concern with black seed: lab and animal studies hint that it can slow down platelets and lengthen the time it takes blood to clot. Stacked on top of dalteparin, that could nudge you toward easier bleeding.

In real life, that might show up as more bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or cuts that take longer to stop. I want to be honest, though, this is mostly theoretical, based on test-tube and animal work plus a single human report, not solid human studies. Food-amount black seed in cooking is unlikely to matter much, but concentrated supplements are less predictable. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.

About Dalteparin Injection

What Is Dalteparin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Fragmin

Fragmin is used to prevent clot-related problems in several situations. These include unstable angina and non-Q-wave heart attack (taken with aspirin), and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after hip or abdominal surgery or during an acute illness that severely limits movement.

It is also used to treat symptomatic venous thromboembolism (VTE, a clot in a vein) and lower the chance it comes back. This applies to adults with cancer and to children from birth (gestational age at least 35 weeks). Fragmin is not indicated for the acute treatment of VTE.
