Here's the idea behind this pairing. Vumerity (diroximel fumarate) calms an overactive immune system to help control your MS. Black seed, on the other hand, has been studied for its effects on the immune system, and the research pulls in both directions: some lab and animal studies hint it may rev the immune system up, while others suggest it may dampen it down. In theory, if black seed nudged your immune activity, it could work against what your MS medicine is trying to do, or it could add to its immune-lowering effect.

I want to be honest though, this is theoretical and based only on lab and animal data, not on people taking these two together. Food-amount black seed is unlikely to matter; concentrated supplements are the bigger unknown. Please check with your pharmacist or neurologist before adding it.

Vumerity (diroximel fumarate) is used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) in adults. This includes three specific types: clinically isolated syndrome (a first MS episode), relapsing-remitting MS (the most common pattern of flares and recovery), and active secondary progressive MS (a later stage where disability gradually worsens but relapses still occur).
