Acetohexamide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Brickellia interacts with.

Preliminary research in animal models shows that brickellia and its constituents have hypoglycemic effects. Theoretically, taking brickellia with drugs that decrease blood glucose levels might increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Acetohexamide (Dymelor) is an older sulfonylurea, which means it works by pushing your body to release more insulin to bring blood sugar down. Brickellia tea has been studied mostly in animals, and that early work hints it may lower blood sugar on its own. So if you sip this tea while taking acetohexamide, the two could add together and push your sugar too low.

Watch for the usual signs of a low: shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling dizzy or weak. Keep in mind the human evidence here is very thin, so this is more of a sensible caution than a proven danger. Please don't change your dose on your own. Just check in with your pharmacist or doctor before adding this tea.
