Alogliptin, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Brickellia interacts with.

Preliminary research in animal models shows that brickellia and its constituents have hypoglycemic effects. Theoretically, taking brickellia with drugs that decrease blood glucose levels might increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Kazano combines two blood-sugar medicines, alogliptin and metformin. Here's the simple version: Brickellia tea may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own. So if you brew it on top of your Kazano, the two could add up and push your sugar lower than you intended. That's what we call hypoglycemia, and with this combo you might notice shakiness, sweating, a fast heartbeat, dizziness, or feeling confused or hungry.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this concern comes only from animal and lab studies, not solid human research, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Brickellia, and keep an eye on your readings if you do. Please don't change your Kazano on your own.
