Insulin Glargine, Lixisenatide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Brickellia interacts with.

Preliminary research in animal models shows that brickellia and its constituents have hypoglycemic effects. Theoretically, taking brickellia with drugs that decrease blood glucose levels might increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Soliqua is a once-daily injection that combines insulin glargine with lixisenatide, and both ingredients work to lower your blood sugar. Brickellia tea has traditionally been used as a folk remedy for diabetes, and early animal studies hint that it may also nudge blood sugar downward. So the concern here is simple math: if both are pushing your sugar lower at the same time, they could stack up and drop it too far.

If that happens, you might notice shakiness, sweating, a fast heartbeat, confusion, or feeling faint. I want to be honest though, this is theoretical and based only on lab and animal work, not human studies. Please don't stop either one on your own. Just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up so they can watch your numbers.
