Mephenytoin (Mesantoin) is an older seizure medicine that can already make people feel drowsy or foggy. The concern here is fairly mild and mostly theoretical. In animal studies, one of caraway's natural oils called carvone showed a mild calming, sedative effect. So the worry is that pairing concentrated caraway oil with mephenytoin might add to that sleepiness.

This isn't proven in people, and the small amount of caraway you'd get from cooking or seasoning food is very unlikely to cause any problem. If you take caraway as a concentrated oil or supplement, just keep an eye out for extra drowsiness or trouble concentrating, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting it.
