Theoretically, taking cat's claw with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Cat's claw contains rhynchophylline. In vitro and animal research suggests that rhynchophylline can lower blood pressure. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for torsemide: it's a water pill that helps lower blood pressure and clear excess fluid. Cat's claw contains a compound called rhynchophylline that, in lab and animal studies, seems to nudge blood pressure down a bit on its own. Stack that mild effect on top of your torsemide and the worry is that your pressure could dip lower than intended.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or wobbly when standing up, especially since torsemide already pulls fluid out of your body. To be clear though, this has only been seen in test tubes and animals, never reported in real people, so it's a theoretical caution, not a proven problem. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, and don't change anything on your own.

What Is Torsemide Used For?

Brand names: Demadex, Soaanz

Torsemide tablets are used to treat edema — excess fluid buildup causing swelling — associated with heart failure, renal disease, or hepatic disease. Removing that extra fluid can relieve swelling and make breathing easier.

Torsemide tablets are also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of serious cardiovascular events, including strokes and heart attacks. It can be used alone or alongside other blood pressure medications.
