Hydrochlorothiazide, Moexipril falls under DIURETIC DRUGS — the group Chelation Therapy Products interacts with.

Concomitant use of ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) and potassium-depleting diuretics might increase the risk for hypokalemia.
EDTA can decrease serum potassium levels and increase excretion of potassium.

Uniretic is a combo pill: hydrochlorothiazide is a 'water pill' that already nudges your body to flush out potassium, and moexipril is an ACE inhibitor that usually helps hold onto it. The concern here is with EDTA-based chelation, which can also push potassium out through the urine. Stack EDTA on top of the thiazide piece and your potassium could dip lower than expected.

Keep in mind this is a theoretical caution based on how these agents work, not a strong real-world signal. Low potassium can show up as muscle cramps, weakness, fatigue, or an irregular heartbeat. If you're ever prescribed supervised chelation, your doctor can simply check a potassium level. Please don't start or stop anything on your own, just loop in your pharmacist or doctor first.
