STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine, Chlorpheniramine
Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine, Chlorpheniramine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Cocoa interacts with.
Cocoa contains caffeine. Concomitant use might increase the risk of stimulant adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: cocoa naturally contains a bit of caffeine, and your Zutripro contains pseudoephedrine, which is a stimulant decongestant. Stacking a stimulant on top of caffeine can add up. So with a strong concentrated cocoa supplement, you might notice more of pseudoephedrine's jittery side effects, like a faster or pounding heartbeat, feeling wired or restless, trouble sleeping, or a small bump in blood pressure.
Honestly, this is more theory than a proven problem, and it's based on expert opinion rather than hard studies. A normal cup of hot cocoa or a square of chocolate is very unlikely to cause trouble. I'd just be a little cautious with concentrated cocoa pills, especially if you have heart or blood pressure issues. When in doubt, check with your pharmacist.

About Cocoa
What is Cocoa?
- Heart and blood vessel health
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Mental focus and mood
- Skin moisturizing (cocoa butter)
Cocoa is rich in plant compounds called flavanols that may modestly support blood vessel function and blood pressure, but most chocolate products are high in sugar, fat, and calories, which can offset any benefit. Enjoy cocoa as part of a balanced diet, and talk to your pharmacist before using concentrated cocoa supplements, especially if you have heart or blood pressure conditions.
