Here's the simple version: terazosin already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, and fish oil can nudge your blood pressure down a little too. Put them together and those effects can add up, so your numbers may drop a bit more than expected. This isn't about fish oil changing how your body breaks down terazosin. It's just two things pushing in the same direction.

What that can feel like is dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint, especially when you stand up quickly. Terazosin is already known for a 'first-dose' drop in blood pressure, so be a little extra careful early on. The blood pressure effect of fish oil is usually modest, and food amounts of fish are unlikely to matter. Still, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before starting a concentrated supplement.

About Terazosin

What Is Terazosin Used For?

Brand names: Hytrin, Terazosin

Terazosin capsules and Tezruly oral solution are both used to relieve the urinary symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — the enlarged prostate condition that causes trouble urinating — in adult males. They are also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either alone or combined with other blood pressure medicines.

Lowering blood pressure with terazosin reduces the risk of serious cardiovascular events, including strokes and heart attacks. Tezruly (the oral solution) may be used alone or alongside other antihypertensive agents for hypertension.
