Here's the simple version: fish oil can gently nudge your blood pressure down on its own. Since indapamide (Lozol) is a water pill that already lowers blood pressure and clears extra fluid, putting the two together can have an added effect. This isn't about fish oil changing how your body breaks down indapamide. It's more that two blood-pressure-lowering things are working in the same direction.

For most people this is mild, but if your blood pressure dips too low you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or tired, especially when standing up fast. The evidence here is modest and based on lower-quality studies, so don't panic. Just let your pharmacist or doctor know you take both, and keep an eye on how you feel.

What Is Indapamide Used For?

Brand names: Lozol, Lozide

Indapamide tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either on their own or together with other blood pressure medications. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of related complications.

Indapamide tablets are also used to treat salt and fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure. In certain cases, indapamide may also be appropriate during pregnancy when swelling is caused by a medical condition rather than normal pregnancy changes — but routine use in otherwise healthy pregnant women is not recommended.
