Here's a piece of good news: this interaction is really about oral medications that guar gum can bind to in your stomach and gut. Glucagon for severe low blood sugar isn't a pill you swallow. The nasal powder (Baqsimi) goes into your nose, and the emergency kit version is given by injection. Either way, it doesn't pass through your digestive tract, so guar gum's gel can't grab onto it or slow it down.

Because this is a rescue treatment used in an emergency, you wouldn't be timing it around a fiber supplement anyway. If you also take daily diabetes pills like metformin, that's where guar gum timing matters more. Always run your full medication list past your pharmacist or doctor.
