Here's the thing with guar gum and your isradipine (Dynacirc CR): guar gum forms a thick gel in your stomach that can grab onto a pill and slow or block how much of it gets absorbed. For a blood pressure medicine like isradipine, that could mean a bit less of the drug reaches your bloodstream, so your blood pressure may not come down as well as expected. This isn't a prodrug situation, so the worry here is simply weaker effect, not stronger.

The evidence is moderate, mostly from studies with other oral drugs. An easy fix is timing: take your isradipine first, then wait about 30 to 60 minutes before your guar gum, with plenty of water. Check with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
