Here's the simple version. Your combo pill has two ingredients, and the one that matters here is the aspirin. Aspirin already thins the blood a little by keeping platelets from clumping together. Lab studies suggest the plant compounds in honeysuckle may do something similar. Put them together and, in theory, you could nudge up the risk of bleeding or bruising, things like nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or bruises that show up more easily.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this is based only on test-tube research, not real people, so it's more a 'keep an eye out' than a red alert. A cup of honeysuckle tea now and then is unlikely to cause trouble. Before using concentrated honeysuckle supplements regularly, just run it past your pharmacist or doctor.
