Chlormezanone falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Iboga interacts with.

Theoretically, iboga might decrease the effectiveness of anticholinergic drugs.
In vitro research shows that iboga can inhibit acetylcholinesterase and might increase acetylcholine levels. However, the constituent ibogaine does not appear to have this effect.

Here's the gist for Chlormezanone (Trancopal), an older muscle relaxant and anti-anxiety medicine that carries some mild anticholinergic activity, meaning it can dry you out a bit and cause drowsiness. The concern on file is that Iboga might work against drugs like this. In lab dish studies, Iboga appeared to block an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase, which could raise levels of acetylcholine, the very messenger that anticholinergic drugs aim to quiet down. In theory, that could blunt some of chlormezanone's effects.

I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. It comes only from test-tube work, not people, and ibogaine itself did not show this effect. On top of that, Iboga has serious heart and safety risks and is illegal in the U.S. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything.
