Inosine + Ranitidine Bismuth Citrate
Ranitidine Bismuth Citrate brand name: Tritec.
We found no known interaction between Inosine and Ranitidine Bismuth Citrate in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Inosine and Ranitidine Bismuth Citrate
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Ranitidine Bismuth Citrate and Inosine in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Ranitidine Bismuth Citrate
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Ranitidine Bismuth Citrate is filed under 5 classifications — including h2-blockers, cytochrome p450 2d6 (cyp2d6) inhibitors, organic anion transporter 3 (oat3) substrates. Inosine has documented interactions with 1 drug class — the most serious being antigout drugs (moderate) — and none of Ranitidine Bismuth Citrate’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

About Inosine
What is Inosine?
- Athletic performance and energy
- Multiple sclerosis (raising uric acid)
- Parkinson's disease (raising uric acid)
- General health and recovery
Inosine is a nucleoside (a building block of DNA and RNA) that the body makes on its own and is also sold as a supplement, mostly marketed for athletic performance. Solid evidence that it boosts exercise performance is lacking, and because it raises uric acid levels, it may pose risks for people with gout or kidney problems. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
Not applicable; inosine is a naturally occurring compound (a nucleoside), not a plant part · Capsules, tablets, powder
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Inosine is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Inosine record says about it on its own.
Inosine: dosing
There is no well-established, standardized dose of inosine. Amounts used in studies have varied, and there is no proven safe or effective dose for general use.If you choose to use an inosine product, follow the directions on the label and do not exceed the recommended amount. Do not assume that taking more will give better results.

About Ranitidine
What Is Ranitidine Used For?
Brand name: Tritec
Ranitidine treats a range of stomach acid–related conditions. Prescription-strength ranitidine (capsules, tablets, and oral solution) is used for active duodenal ulcers (ulcers in the small intestine), active benign gastric ulcers (stomach ulcers), GERD (acid reflux disease), erosive esophagitis (acid damage to the esophagus), and pathological hypersecretory conditions — rare disorders where the stomach makes far too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is also used as maintenance therapy to keep duodenal and gastric ulcers from coming back after they have healed.
Over-the-counter products — including Acid Reducer and Acid Reducer 150 tablets — are approved to relieve heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach, and to prevent that heartburn when taken before eating or drinking foods that trigger it.
