ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Celiprolol
Celiprolol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Japanese Persimmon interacts with.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Celiprolol is a beta-blocker used to manage high blood pressure, so its whole job is to gently bring your numbers down. Japanese persimmon may have a mild blood-pressure-lowering effect of its own, which means using concentrated persimmon products alongside Celiprolol could stack the two together and push your pressure lower than intended.
If that happens, you might notice dizziness, lightheadedness, unusual tiredness, or feeling faint when you stand up quickly. Keep in mind this is mostly a theoretical concern, and simply enjoying the fruit as food is unlikely to cause trouble. The bigger question is with concentrated supplements or leaf extracts. If you want to use persimmon medicinally, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and let them know if you feel woozy.

Celiprolol Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Celiprolol as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Japanese Persimmon — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
